New GUI Concept

Hi everyone, Skyrider here. So to sum things up, I’ve been working on some GUI (since we barely have any that’s worth while) lightly inspired by Sword Art Online (I like to be honest). I’m not going to bother posting it here (as there’s many photos) and giving the description for each one. So I’ll link the different places you can go look at them.

Some new plans

Hey, everyone. Skyrider here. We’ve got some new plans going on which we recently discussed. The basic jist of it is this. We’re gonna start designing our Alpha build to be more playable for testing AND enjoyment purposes. This will make the game a bit more fun to play with. The REASON we’re doing this is because we’re going to go public with our game. Basically, we’ll periodically release a public version of the game after X amount of time. The current time will most likely be every 50 days but this might change. So, instead of making one release after we move to a new phase, we’re just gonna start releasing the game. This will give us more fans and more popularity. PLUS, everyone loves new games. I do want to note that our 50 day count down does not start JUST because I made this post. For example, we could release the first Public Alpha Revision in a week or it could be 8 months from now. But when DO make our first release, the 50 day countdown will start and will repeat after we release the next revision over and over until we decide to stop or we finish the game.

Skyrider here. I’m very sorry about being so late to update the changelogs. Forgetfulness on the first few days and laziness on the next one or two is the reason. I’m going to do weekly updates instead. If I’m a day off, it’s no biggie.

That’s because we only just started the changelog. But every day after today, the only updates you see are things that were done that day.

New Facebook page

Hi, Skyrider here (AKA Dylan-Skyrider). I’ve got a minor announcement. ZED-U has a new Facebook page which was made by none other than me. So now the people have a few resources for information and we have a few resources for advertising and gaining fans. We’ve got a blog for announcements and updates; a forum for communication, suggestions, ideas, and general stuff; a ModDB page and now a Facebook page.

The forum is helpful for community type stuff related to communication and information.

The blog is useful for announcements of more important types. My suggestion that we should delete the old forum, which is inactive, doesn’t belong on the blog.

The ModDB page is where we release the public downloads of the game and helps give us more fans.

The Facebook page helps get us more fans and notifies people of when we have an announcement. When something happens, I’ll post on the Facebook page that there’s something happening, summarize it, and give a link to the blog to read more.

Aravind’s channel is where all videos of the game are posted… I’m considering making a new YouTube account for the game. Instead of it being posted by the lead game designer on his channel, they can be posted by anyone on the Dev team for a channel specifically for the game itself.

ZED-U Alpha Test slot openings [ClOSED]

Hi, Skyrider here. As some of you know, Aravind released a playable version of the ZED-U yesterday. As some of you should also know, it was in the Prealpha phase. The team will stop developing the game for one week to make our main focus to have discussions about what to do in Alpha. Instead of it being a secondary focus. In preparation, we’re opening slots 30 sign up slots for people to get a chance to be one of our Alpha Testers. Only 20 people will be given access to privately released version of the game. Today at 4:00 PM in my timezone marks the opening of Alpha Test slots. Please, read this post made on our forum (by me) for more information.
